Cap Antibes in Southern France Posted on 1 Sep 00:00 , 0 comments
Cap Antibes is a coastal city in Southern France overlooking the Cote d Azur, or French Riviera. A coveted vacation destination for Americans and French alike, the area is filled with historical buildings, luxury hotels and quaint restaurants with incredible local cuisines. Having approximately the same temperatures as Northeast America, the best time to visit Cap Antibes is in late August or the first week of September. However, if you're trying to avoid the crowds, the second week of September will give you a more quiet experience with slightly chillier temperatures.
I spent most of my time at the Hotel Cap Eden Roc, located at the tip of Cap Antibes. Breakfast was either on the porch or down on the restaurant deck. The heated salt water pool cut into the edge of the cliff overlooking the French Riviera was an idyllic spot where most of the day was spent. Sailboats drifted by, adding to the blissful laziness of the view.
After a day basking in the balmy late August weather, an evening of shopping in quaint shops and strolling through nearby historic towns made the day complete. Restaurants situated in historic buildings and peaceful outdoor gardens served gastronomic French foods and wines. The sun setting over the French Riviera at the Hotel Eden Roc Cap Antibes

This way to the pool... a refreshing interior with picturesque renderings painted onto the walls.
Landscape paintings, an opulent chandelier, white chairs and blue couches accompanied by sconces on the wall in the lobby of the Eden Roc. Incredible interior decorating inspiration. Can this just be my living room?
Until next time, Cap Antibes...
